Coming home with my daughter and grandson yesterday about 4.15 the sky looked spectacular! We stopped so I could get out of the car and take this picture.

Christmas Day 2007

Christmas seems to be all about buying very expensive gifts that so many cannot really afford, drinking an obscene amount of alcohol, and eating a ridiculous quantity of food. What ever happened to the reason for Christmas. The best gift anyone of us can give to another is Love. Peace on Earth, a gift that countless millions across the globe long for. Who knows maybe one day there will be peace on earth.

Christmas Eve

So many memories of Christmas Eve but one that is so bright in my mind. Two little girls watching Basil Brush Christmas show, me baking mince pies and watching through the hatch. You were so little then. Be happy this Christmas Kerri and Marianne.

Angels

Christmas Past

It's never easy to capture the beauty of the Christmas tree all lit up. Every year I find time to just sit in the dark and watch the magic of it's flickering lights and remember each of it's treasured decorations.

I took this photo back in the summer then invented a very quick script in PaintShoppro to make it look a little like a painting. Once again I have no idea what it is.

Tis the season

Funny the things that you remember. The little song on my image we taught to children in Sunday School more than forty years ago lol.. I was asked to paint a poster for each of the plants for different children to hold up as we sang it.

Beautiful Shrub

I do not know what this is but the flowers are beautiful and it always looks their best in early December.

Dec 5th Sinterklaas Day

The Dutch Sinterklaas(St Nicholas) traditionally arrives by sea from Spain, in Amsterdam in mid-November, the beginning of the Sinterklaas season.
When he arrives in his stately Bishop robes, he mounts a white horse for a ride through the streets of Amsterdam throwing cookies and candies to the spectators.

My little fur paws

This cute and innocent little bundle of fur wakes me up of a morning for food. Having fed her she then sits complaining at the bottom of the stairs that she wants to go back to bed now please. The catch is that she expects me to go with her lol..

Swans at Coombe Abbey

I recently visited Coombe Abbey in Coventry Warwickshire. I was surprised as we walked around by the number of Swans that were amongst the visitors. This one was right beside me and waited patiently as I took a shot.
